Nittaku Rutis Revo C Chinese Penhold Blade

A Chinese penhold that uses FE carbon and blade flex to aim for speed and stability.

The Rutis Revo C is a Chinese penhold blade that adds 2 FE carbon plies to 3 wood plies and takes rubber on both sides. The whole blade is designed to flex, built to deliver speed while keeping the bounce from becoming erratic. At about 75 g, it is on the light side.

Features

• A plywood construction combining 3 wood plies and 2 FE carbon plies.
• FE carbon is noted for good ball hold, and it is a material that works well when you receive an opponent's hard shots.
• The flexing blade balances fast shots with a stable bounce.
• Nittaku's published ratings are Mid-fast for speed and Hard for feel, and the blade thickness is 5.7 mm.
• The blade is round at 157×150 mm, the grip is Chinese-style at 80×21 mm, and the weight is about 75 g. The country of origin is Japan.

Recommended for

• Players who want a fast attacking game with a lighter Chinese penhold
• Players who want to return an opponent's hard hits steadily
• Players who like shots that make use of blade flex

Pros and things to consider

Pros

• At about 75 g it is light and easy to handle.
• Designed to make speed easier to generate while keeping the bounce stable.
• A Nittaku racket with Japan as its country of origin.

Things to consider

• Nittaku rates the feel as Hard, so players who prefer a soft feel may find it a matter of personal taste.
• Because it is on the light side, it may not suit players who want to generate power from weight.

Specifications

Speed, Feel are Nittaku's own published ratings; they cannot be compared with other manufacturers' figures.

FAQ

Q. Can I attach rubber to both sides?

A. Yes. Because this is a Chinese penhold, you can attach rubber to both sides and hit with the reverse side as well. Rubber is sold separately, so please prepare it separately.

Q. How much does it weigh?

A. The manufacturer states about 75 g. Because the blade is made of wood, the weight differs from blade to blade.
