Nittaku Septear Shakehand Blade

A Japanese-made offensive blade using natural Kiso hinoki for all 7 plies

The Septear is a Japanese-made offensive shakehand racket that uses natural Kiso hinoki for all 7 plies. Although it is a 7-ply blade (a structure of 7 boards laminated together), its weight is about 85 g, which is average. It suits players at the stage of widening their range of strokes, such as short play over the table and drives.

Features

• Natural Kiso hinoki is used for all 7 plies. The country of origin is Japan.
• The Kiso hinoki comes from the Kiso region of Nagano Prefecture and is selected from trees with an average age of 250 years.
• The weight is kept to about 85 g so that consecutive hits from mid-distance (a position a little away from the table) are easier.
• On Nittaku's own ratings, speed is Mid and feel is Hard. The blade is 6.7 mm thick.
• Blade 157×150 mm. The grip is ST (straight), measuring 101×23 mm.

Recommended for

• Players who want to widen their range of strokes, such as short play over the table and drives
• Players who want a 7-ply blade but want to avoid a racket that is too heavy
• Players who value a balance of attack and defense
