An Omega 5 inverted rubber that also accommodates backhand counters

Omega 5 Pro is an inverted rubber (a rubber with a flat surface that makes it easy to put spin on the ball) in XIOM's Omega 5 series. It is designed to make it easier to feel the ball grip on drives and to keep returns stable. It also suits players who use fast counters from the backhand.

Features

  • Construction is pips-in (inverted) with a black sponge, and the country of origin is Germany.
  • The sponge is a CARBO SPONGE containing carbon particles, and XIOM's published sponge hardness is 47.5.
  • HYPER ELASTO technology aims to widen the range within which a drive lands on the opponent's side of the table.
  • XIOM's own published ratings are SPEED & FORCE 6.0, SPIN & ARC 5.0, and CATAPULT & CLICK 5.0.

Recommended for

  • Players who use backhand counters a lot
  • Players who want to return the ball consistently in topspin exchanges
  • Intermediate and advanced players looking for a well-balanced rubber

Pros and things to consider

Pros

  • The design also takes backhand counters into account.
  • With three thicknesses to choose from, it is easy to match to your racket and preferences.

Things to consider

  • The SPIN & ARC rating is 5.0. If spin is your main priority, compare other models as well.
  • The racket and glue are sold separately (this is a single rubber).
