XIOM Vega Europe H Rubber

A softer, tacky-type hybrid inverted rubber that puts the emphasis on control

This is XIOM's hybrid inverted rubber (a rubber with a flat surface that makes it easy to put spin on the ball). Its topsheet takes on the style of a tacky rubber (a rubber with a sticky surface). It combines the characteristics of Chinese-style and European-style rubbers, adjusted to be on the softer side. The manufacturer recommends it for intermediate players who want to improve their control accuracy.

Features

• The surface uses a tacky-style sheet, designed so that players of a wide range of levels can use a tacky-type hitting feel.
• Its original "H-TOUCH HYBRID" design adjusts the sheet thickness and pip shape, making it easier to handle than a typical tacky rubber.
• The published sponge hardness is 45.0. The sponge is CARBO SPONGE, a black sponge that uses a carbon material.
• On XIOM's own published indices, SPEED & FORCE is 5.0 and SPIN & ARC is 4.4. The country of origin is Germany.

Recommended for

• Intermediate players who want to improve their control accuracy
• Players who want to try a tacky-type hitting feel that is also easy to handle
• Players looking for a softer hybrid rubber

Pros and things to consider

Pros

• Adjusted to be softer, which makes it easier to focus on control
• The tacky-style surface makes it easy to put spin on the ball
• A design that is easier to handle than a typical tacky rubber

Things to consider

• Because the surface is tacky-style, the hitting feel differs from that of an inverted rubber without tack
• Because it is designed with control in mind, it may not suit players whose first priority is speed
• The racket and glue are sold separately. Please have them ready as well
