XIOM Vega Europe Inverted Rubber

An inverted rubber whose soft sponge grips the ball and makes it easier to adapt to an opponent's spin

This is an inverted rubber (a rubber with a flat surface that makes it easy to put spin on the ball) from XIOM's Vega series. Its softer sponge is built to take the ball in deeply on impact. It adapts easily to an opponent's heavy spin, and easy ball control is its strength.

Features

• The manufacturer describes it as designed with an emphasis on a soft feel and ease of controlling the ball.
• It uses HYPER ELASTO technology, which aims to make it easier for balls that clear the net high to still land on the table, reducing drive errors.
• The sponge is a black CARBO SPONGE containing carbon particles. Combined with the topsheet, it aims for stability.
• XIOM's published values are SPEED & FORCE 6.0, SPIN & ARC 3.4, and sponge hardness 42.5.
• You can choose from two colors and three thicknesses. The country of origin is Germany.

Recommended for

• Players who want to respond calmly to an opponent's heavy spin
• Players looking for an inverted rubber with a softer hitting feel
• Players who want to reduce drive errors and keep rallies going

Pros and things to consider

Pros

• The softer sponge makes it easier to adapt to an opponent's spin.
• A technology that helps higher shots land on the table makes it easier to keep drives stable.
• With three thicknesses to choose from, it is easy to match to your preferences.

Things to consider

• The published SPIN & ARC value is 3.4, lower than the SPEED & FORCE value of 6.0, so players who prioritize spin may find it lacking.
• We do not carry some combinations of color and thickness.
• The racket and glue are sold separately, so please have them ready as well.
