An anti-spin rubber that reduces the effect of spin and aims for returns with variation

An inverted rubber of the anti-spin type (a rubber that is little affected by the opponent's spin). It suits players who want to turn the opponent's spin against them and return the ball with variation. It is a rubber that is easy to match to chop-style and unorthodox all-round play.

Features

  • On Yasaka's ratings, Speed is 4, Spin is 3- and Control is 10
  • Sponge hardness is 25-30° according to Yasaka's published figure
  • A specialty rubber aimed at changing the opponent's spin when returning the ball
  • A Japanese-made rubber with a choice of thicknesses from Thin to Extra thick

Recommended for

  • Players who want to defend by using the opponent's spin
  • Chop-style or unorthodox all-round players who want to add variation

Pros and things to consider

Pros

  • Uses the opponent's spin, letting you aim for returns with variation
  • Control is 10, the same as the Mark V baseline
  • Thickness can be chosen from Thin to Extra thick to suit your preference

Things to consider

  • With Spin 3- and Speed 4, it is not well suited to attacking by putting your own spin on the ball
  • Because it is a rubber that uses the opponent's spin, it may take practice to master
