A speed-type short pips rubber that reworks the "Original" for attack

A speed-type short pips rubber (a rubber whose pips face outward). The sheet is based on the short pips rubber "Original", reworked with an emphasis on attacking power, and the sponge is a softer high-rebound type. It suits players who want to hit fast shots close to the table.

Features

  • The sheet is based on Yasaka's own short pips rubber, the "Original".
  • The sponge is a high-rebound type, on the soft side with a hardness of 30–35° (as published by Yasaka).
  • On Yasaka's own rating scale (Mark V = 10): Speed 9, Spin 6+, Control 8.
  • Made in Japan. Thickness can be chosen from Thin to Extra thick, and there are two colors.

Recommended for

  • Fast-attack players who play close to the table and want to hit fast shots with short pips
  • Players with an unorthodox attack-and-defense style who want an offensive short pips rubber on one side
  • Anyone who wants a short pips rubber with a softer sponge

Pros and things to consider

Pros

  • The combination of an attack-oriented sheet and a high-rebound sponge makes it easier to generate speed.
  • Thickness can be chosen from Thin to Extra thick, making it easy to match your preference.

Things to consider

  • Spin is 6+ (Yasaka's own rating), which may feel lacking to players who prioritize the amount of spin.
  • Control is 8 (Yasaka's own rating), below the Mark V baseline (10).
