A speed-type based on the Rakza 7, with quicker ball release and higher rebound

An inverted rubber (a rubber with a flat surface that makes it easy to put spin on the ball) of what Yasaka calls the Hybrid Energy type, based on the "Rakza 7". The ball release (the timing at which the ball leaves the rubber) is quicker and the rebound is higher, a tuning that leans toward speed. It suits players who want to attack with fast drives with spin.

Features

  • Based on the Rakza 7, tuned toward quicker ball release and higher rebound.
  • Even fast shots draw an arc, a design that makes it easier to keep the ball on the opponent's side of the table.
  • On Yasaka's own rating scale (Mark V = 10): Spin 13+, Speed 11+, Control 8+.
  • Sponge hardness is 40–45° (as published by Yasaka). Three thicknesses are offered, from Medium-thick to Extra thick. Made in Germany.

Recommended for

  • Players whose main style is driving who want to score with fast drives
  • Players who want ball speed while keeping the amount of spin

Pros and things to consider

Pros

  • With Spin 13+ and Speed 11+ (Yasaka's own ratings), both spin and speed are above the baseline.
  • Quick ball release and high rebound make it easier to go for fast drives.

Things to consider

  • Control is 8+ (Yasaka's own rating), below the Mark V baseline (10).
  • Three thicknesses from Medium-thick up are offered, so it is not for players who want a thinner sponge.
