A hard 52-57° sponge to back up powerful hitting

Rakza Z Extra Hard is an inverted rubber (a rubber with a flat surface that makes it easy to put spin on the ball) from Yasaka. It is a Hybrid Energy type that uses a hard sponge, suited to the attacking play of hard hitters who drive the ball in forcefully. It comes in Extra thick only.

Features

  • It uses a hard sponge, with a manufacturer-published hardness of 52-57°.
  • The manufacturer positions this rubber for hard hitters who hit with force.
  • On Yasaka's own rating scale (Mark V = 10), Speed is 11-, Spin is 14+, and Control is 9.
  • The country of production is Germany. It comes in Extra thick only, and you can choose from two colors.

Recommended for

  • Players who are confident in their swing speed and want to attack with powerful hits
  • Advanced players who want to attack with power using a hard sponge

Pros and things to consider

Pros

  • The hard sponge makes it easier to turn strong impact into attacking power.
  • On Yasaka's ratings, spin is also set on the high side at 14+.

Things to consider

  • At 52-57° it is hard, and if your swing lacks strength you may not feel much bounce.
  • The Control rating is 9, so it may be hard to handle for players who have just started.
  • It comes in Extra thick only. The racket and glue are sold separately.
