Yasaka Resonate AI Shakehand Blade

An offensive blade with A-Carbon placed on the inside, aiming for a balance of offense and defense

The Resonate AI is an offensive shakehand blade with 2 layers of A-Carbon sandwiched on the inside (inner) of its 5 wood plies. It has the bounce of a carbon blade, while the feel on impact is finished closer to a wooden blade. It suits players who want stability in both offensive and defensive situations.

Features

• A construction that adds 2 layers of A-Carbon to 5 wood plies, with the carbon placed toward the center.
• A-Carbon is a material regarded as having both rebound and a soft feel.
• Blade thickness is 6.3 mm. The thicker plywood is meant to bring out more power on hard hits.
• Yasaka's published speed rating is Fast, the feel is Medium, and the weight is 87 g ±.
• The blade is 157×151 mm, and the grip is FLA (flared: a grip whose end widens) at 100×25 mm.

Recommended for

• Players looking for a carbon blade with a feel close to wood
• Players who want stability on both hard hits and in rallies
• Players who want to attack with an emphasis on balance between offense and defense

Pros and things to consider

Pros

• Even with carbon, the design aims for a suppleness close to that of wood.
• The thick plywood makes it easier to put power into the ball even on hard hits.
• A model that emphasizes balance between offense and defense.

Things to consider

• Because speed is Fast, players who have just started may find the bounce strong.
• Only the FLA (flared) grip is available.
• Rubbers are sold separately, so please prepare one for each side.
