Mammut Lithium 20 Backpack

A 20 L pack for day hikes, with a hip belt and rain cover

The Lithium 20 is a 20 L backpack suited to day hikes. Its recycled nylon fabric has a durable water repellent finish, and it has air channels that help ventilate your back. A removable hip belt and an integrated rain cover are included, a setup that is easy to use when walking in the mountains.

Features

• The capacity is 20 L and it weighs 740 g. Actual dimensions are about 22.5 cm wide, 51.5 cm high, and 9 cm deep.
• The main fabric is 100D and the base fabric is 210D, both recycled nylon (D is a unit of yarn thickness).
• It has a PFC-free (perfluorinated chemicals) durable water repellent (DWR) finish.
• The back system is "CONTACT." Air channels (passages for air) in the 3D-shaped EVA foam help ventilate your back.
• The padded hip belt has a foldable pocket for a smartphone. Both the belt and the rain cover are removable.

Recommended for

• Those looking for a 20 L pack with a hip belt for day hikes
• Those who want a backpack with a built-in rain cover to prepare for rain
• Those who want to take a water bottle or similar out of the side mesh pocket while still wearing the pack

Pros and things to consider

Pros

• The rain cover is integrated, so there is no need to arrange one separately.
• The hip belt and rain cover can be removed when you don't need them.
• It is compatible with hydration systems (a way to drink through a tube from a water bladder), so you can drink while walking.

Things to consider

• At 740 g, it is a little heavier than mid-range among the Mammut backpacks we carry.
• At 20 L, it does not have enough capacity for overnight mountain trips.
• It is slim, at about 22.5 cm wide and 9 cm deep, so wide items may be hard to fit.
