Mammut Lithium Waistpack

A 3 L hiking waist pack that lets you keep your phone and wallet separate

This is a 3 L waist pack, worn around the waist, from Mammut's Lithium backpack series. A zippered main compartment and a side pocket let you keep items such as your phone, wallet, and sunscreen separate. It suits day hikes when you want to keep your load down.

Features

• Capacity is 3 L. At about 21.5 cm wide, 15 cm high, and 7 cm deep, it is sized for carrying mainly small items.
• Inside the zippered main compartment are two small open compartments with no flap. The side pocket also has a zipper.
• The outer fabric is nylon and the lining is polyester, both made from recycled materials. The lining has soft padding.
• The fabric has a PFC-free (perfluorinated chemicals) durable water repellent (DWR) finish that repels water.
• A bottle holder is attached to the side. A rubber bungee cord on the front can hold a jacket in place.

Recommended for

• Those who want to pack light and enjoy day hikes with less to carry
• Those who want quick access to their phone, wallet, and sunscreen
• Those who want to carry a jacket secured with the bungee cord

Pros and things to consider

Pros

• At 3 L and 220 g, it is a compact design that sits neatly around the waist.
• The main compartment and side pocket let you keep small items separated by place.
• With a bottle holder and a bungee cord, you can carry a drink and a jacket too.

Things to consider

• At 3 L the capacity is small, leaving little room inside for a change of clothes or a larger jacket.
• At 220 g, it is a little heavier than the middle among the Mammut bags and pouches we carry.
• The water-repellent finish repels water, but if you use it for a long time in heavy rain, the contents may get wet.
